The past few weeks have been a busy, lazy, crazy time. Matt’s parents came for a weekend visit the first of May, and offered to take Isaac back with them to Boise for the week. Matt and I readily agreed, for during that time Rexburg’s weather decided to go cold and chilly, and Isaac need some fresh Boise air. So during May 3rd and 4th Matt and I slept and rested with Eli.
May 5th we headed down to Salt Lake City and stayed the night with Matt’s Aunt Angie and Uncle Randy. The next day Eli had his check up appointment at Primary Children’s Medical Center and he was given the okay to go off of oxygen! Besides when Eli was first born, I had never held him without any wires. IT WAS AMAZING! Matt and I kept saying that we now had a real boy—for he seemed so much healthier without the oxygen tubing.
After spending a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend in Boise with Matt’s parents and sister (Matt was able to talk to his brother on a LDS mission in Chile), we came back to Rexburg with Isaac and healthy Eli and did something quite crazy: we got a new vehicle. Yup, that’s right, we traded in our newly purchased black 07 Jeep Patriot for a silver 08 Toyota Rav4. It was a smart thing to do. I mean, I loved the Jeep so much, but we realized after a few trips that we need something that could better meet Eli’s health needs.
We are now currently enjoying the company and help from my mom and my youngest sister. They flew in from the Great State of Alabama on Monday, and will be staying here till June 6th. I am loving their company! My other sister is here also—going to school. So we are having a great time catching up and spending lots and lots of "girl time" together.
Life in general is good. Eli is a good baby, and is almost fully recovered from his surgery. And Isaac is a crazy boy! Oh, he makes us laugh. He currently is into organizing groups of items. I will walk into the living room and see all of his “yeeows” (toy cars) lined up on the couch watching Planet Earth with him. The past few days rocks have become a favorite; he has “be daddy rocks” (big daddy rocks) and “bebe rocks,” but no mommy rocks. Sad for me!

I'm pretty sure that your boys are some of the cutest. Lovely family I say! I hope we can visit soon!
