Auburn, for those that don't know, is one of the major universities in the state of Bama. The ultimate rival of the Alabama Crimson Tide, and basically between these two school dominate life and culture of the great state of Bama. It's really annoying, actually. (But don't tell fellow Southerners that I said that, or I'll be officially banished from South.)
My brother-in-law Dave, husband of my sister Ashley, has been accept to the school of Pharmacy at Auburn. We're all really excited! They're only a 5 hour drive away!
We took the opportunity to visit them during mid-August. My parents were going down there as was my sister Madison (who had flown in from Idaho for a quick trip). So it was a nice family reunion.
The main events of the trip were:
-Dave's Pharmacy School White Coat Ceremony
-Luke's 4 birthday party (slip-n-slide awesomeness!)
-Night with just us girls; Mom, Shannon, Ashley, and Madison
The highlights were:
-Dave unable to get his white coat slipped on properly on stage.
-Eli slip-n-sliding so hard he smashed his face into the ground, cutting the inside of of his mouth with his teeth, and then an hour later throwing-up all over the laundry room floor. Yay!
-Matt and baby girl Piper having lots of uncle and niece time.
