That's right, Matt and I are celebrating our 50th anniversary... of months of marriage. 4 years and 2 months baby! We had our 4 year anniversary while we were in the hospital with Eli--so we decided to make our 50th month the time of celebration. On Friday we hiked R Mountain--or Menan Butte, yesterday we had lunch at Wendy's and shopped at the D.I., tomorrow we are going to a movie, then on Tuesday we are going to the Temple. Spreading the celebration out, so no babysitter gets too overwhelmed. Thanks to all the babysitters that are taking part in this grand adventure of ours.
The hike on R Mountain was wonderful. I have been running for the past 7 weeks and I can totally tell that I am in better shape than I have been in a long time. Only took us 15 minutes to get to the area we wanted to go.
fyi: R Mountain is a rare geological site--it is a type of volcano that was formed when the hotspot that has formed Yellowstone was passing under this area of Idaho.
Also, Matt has started a photography business. The idea is that he is "The Student Family's Solution for Quality Photographs." So if anybody is in the Rexburg area and would like a photo shoot, visit Matt's blog to set up an appointment.

Happy 50th. Trev keeps talking about hiking r Mountain. After reading your post I now feel a little more enthused to do it. I don't quite understand the picture with the dog in it.

wow what a way to celebrate! I had a fuji S2 Pro but it clunked out if you know any one who wants it it would be $500 to fix but I needed it to quick and wanted an updat I debated between the Nikon D90 on D500 my wallet said I had to go with the D500 and I love it! oh and I saw the pics of the Nielsens and they are so cute! good job
