A friend of mine posted this to her FB wall, and I really liked the message.
If you like Fox News, that's just fine. If you consider yourself on the "Christian Right," that's fine too.
What I really like from this quote is the message of Christ and what his earthly ministry was(is) about: healing, uplifting, and refining ALL the children of God.

I totally agree, I love this quote! I find it really hard to balance the giving and self sufficient sides of me sometimes. Unfortunately in my experience (especially here in AZ) we've seen the detriment it is when some take advantage of the governments gifts with no intention of ever taking care of themselves. But in our house we give when we can, when the spirit prompts us to or when we see a need.
