We seem to get really nostalgic and warm and fuzzy when we decorate the tree. It's such a fun family activity!
Eli has been in distress since Thanksgiving over our lack of tree-ness. I kept telling, "Dude, we'll get one when there is an evening without something going on." And that evening just so happened to by this friday night.
We walked over to the "selling tree place," just across the way. We kind of made the people nervous, since we showed up out of the woods! But we assured them that we were fine, normal people, just looking for a tree. Specifically a smaller and skinner tree. (Limited options where to put it, ya know?)
Once we found one, Matt put the tree on his back, and we ran/raced/tackled each other back home. And Decorate the Tree 2014 commenced! It went well. This was the first time that the boys helped with putting lights on the tree. Which was a logistical nightmare, but they finally understood what Matt wanted them to do after 5 minutes of pure chaos. OH! And once the lights were on the tree, there was as strand that didn't want any other strand after it to be lit. Matt and I had to jerry-rig them all around so they'd all light up.
(We also tried to take nice pictures of the boys, but it didn't work out as well. Silliness! Silliness! And more silliness!)
