Science Saturday :: Earth Day in Savannah

Friday night I got a call saying that because of all the rain the fields were too wet for tball.  Got it.  So let's go to Savannah!

The boys woke up at 6:30, we went to the gym for a bit, then came home and got ready for some Earth Day celebration.  It's been a little cooler and wetter than usual so we "bundled up" and headed out before noon.

Forsyth Park has to be my favorite place (so far) in Savannah.  So gorgeous, and lots of different cool areas.  On our way me and the boys talked about the Earth and the importance of taking care of it--pretty sure that all fell out of their heads when they saw the helicopter and bounce houses.  But afterwards we checked out lots of booths, held turtles, saw baby alligators, ate vegan cookies, talked to baby chicks, and picked up lots of info for doing a winter garden (sooo excited!!).

It took Eli and Titus a little bit to get up, and I tried to hold back all my anxieties, but they made it!

I missed Isaac's slide, since I was concentrating on the two littles.

We walked around the garden area, then threw frisbees for a while.

There are some serious gorgeous homes in Savannah.  This is the Victorian District, where we parked and where Forsyth is located (Forsyth connects the Historic and Victorian Districts).

We had a fun day, including more play time at a fav restaurant (Chick-Fil-A).  Then ran an errand to Target... The boys were basically begging to go to bed that night!
