Contrary to what historians believe, the frontier is alive and thriving. We found it a week ago when my mom picked up a bag of horses and cows from the local garage sale.
After the horses had been broken in, and the local Indian Chief consisted to be our guide, we built forts on this frontier of ours. The boys explored the surroundings, finding strange and new animals to bring into the herd--including killer whales, great white sharks, and race cars.
The frontier is alive, and in our hearts.
