Mindset of "Single Mom"

Last night Matt gathered us all around the table last night, told us how much he loved and cared for us, and then said family prayer.  We all hugged.  A lot.

When Matt left Isaac said, "Wow, my eyes are watering."
I replied, "Mine too, dude."

Matt is now at his 3ish month long training.
 
Wow, it sure was wonderful having him around for 8 days!  I know he's only 2.5 hours away--which is nothing compared to other separations.  It still stinks just a bit, though.

I now have to get my mind warped around being a "single mom."  When the alarm clock when off at 6:40am this morning, it wasn't pleasant, and one rude wake up call!  

But we are all good, and we'll make it through just fine I'm sure.   

Weekend visits will happen, so I don't see a reason why we wouldn't see each other at least every 2 weeks.

When Matt was here we had a ton of fun.  I have a lot of pictures, so there'll be more than one post.  

Here is what I like to call "cardboard jungle."  We really unpacked all of our stuff.  And the boys really had a ton of fun in the chaos!   (And Eli loved trying on Matt's roller blades!)
