Back in December I introduced "
Science Saturday." And that was pretty much the first and last time we did it... Except not! This morning we did a little science fun, and for about 3 minutes I felt like we were all learning.
From the book
Mudpies to Magnets pg. 29, we did the "Air Machine," discussing how air moves things. Our little contraptions were a bit more complex in use than the book let on, but I think it worked.
Air moves things. A simple concept--and maybe that's way my boys only took 3 minutes with it, cause they are already sooooo smart and need to discuss it in depth?

Air machines to the face! The idea is to use this bag to blow the pencil shavings and cheerios across the table. |
| It took a bit of practicing, but Isaac started to get the hang of it. |
They were not impressed with the self inflating ability of the sponges in the bag. They needed to help it out some. |
| And blow the bags up really big! |
| Isaac started to really get it! |
| But Eli and Titus needed my help. |
| Did you learn anything, Titus? |
I plan on doing something next Saturday. Hopefully one week won't turn into 3 months. I hope!
