Holy Mistletoe! All these Festivities!

Honest to goodness, this might be a hard post to do... See, "Band of Brothers" is on and it's episode 4: The Replacements.  It's pretty great.

To sum up:
Holy mistletoe, does Christmas time bring lots and lots to do.  It's taken a bit for it to really "feel like Christmas," but cooler weather is helping.  High of 65!  Brr!

And just a warning: this post has A TON of pictures.  But it is also our family blog, and I can put as many pictures as I want, thank you very much :)

1.  We are doing an advent calendar this year.  Pretty similar to last year's, except this year's is shaped like a Christmas tree.  Helps fill up all the empty wall space... Yeah, still haven't gotten around to really decorating yet.

Each boy has a favorite candy:
- Eli is Dark Chocolate (the green... which he may choose that one because IT IS green.  Hulk is green, therefore everything green is AWESOME.)
- Isaac likes the red one, a Krinkle.
- Titus gets whatever he can.  Usually the silver (milk chocolate) or the Mr. Goodbar.

2.  The beginningn of December had a Christmas Parade!  We decided to check out Savannah's Parade and hang out with some friends who met up there.  The boys really enjoyed it.  They were all dressed up (cause when are they not?) and got lots of attention from the crowd and paraders!

3.  Then we trimmed our fake trees.  Which was fun, but we decided after a few days to put it in the boys' room and get a real tree.  I'm glad we have this tree, though.  Thanks Mom and Dad D for getting this for us 2 years ago!  The boys love it!
That night we also brought out most of our Christmas decorations, including our playskol nativity set.  Man, these boys love it!  Mostly they throw it around, but it's been nice to have it to talk to the boys about the Nativity.
Titus likes to get baby Jesus and say, "This me!" then hand me the angel and say, "That you!"  It's very sweet--but it's important to note that he also called me a whale shark.  I'm an angelic whale shark, people!  Be jealous.

4.  And someone gave us an extra "Elf on the Shelf."  Again, a fun tradition.  His name is Buddy--just like from the movie "Elf."  We are an original crew!
We're not like "hard core" about this dude.  But he hangs around and keeps us company.  Little Titus, my baby bird, is very loud and excited when he finds Buddy in the morning.  Lots of hysterical screaming!
Isaac didn't really believe in this Elf guy at first.  But he's totally come around, without any persuasion on our part.  We don't really tell him what's up this guy, just that he's here till Christmas Eve.
Eli just giggles.  He's a giggly guy.

5.  A few nights ago were heard a firetruck, which seemed like it was about to come through our living room window!  We go outside, and sure enough, there is one blaring with a Santa!  He was handing out candy canes.  Pretty sweet deal.

6.  Then just last night was the Ward (church congregation) Christmas Party.  There was an amazing hot chocolate bar, plus sweets.  Lots of good company, and fun crafts for the kids.  A skit was performed, with a talent show, and then Santa came!  "SANTA!  I KNOW HIM!"
Titus was fine with Santa.
Eli was not.  Not, I tell.
Isaac was in love with him, and gave Santa his crafts.  Tender, right?

Er... I also made good looking cupcakes for the party.  However, it was not a party on tongues... Cranberry Eggnog Cupcakes are kinda not good.  Maybe in theory?  Well I made them for a reason, because they looked pretty on the dang internet.   I just need to stick with chocolate.  Agreed.

Titus wanted a lot of "shoes" on his wreath.
Shoes = Stocking.
See all of them stacked on top of each other on the bottom left corner?

Santa?
SANTA!!!!

Heck yes I'm rocking a "mow hawk!"
Sometimes the hairs does what the hair does, and I just have to go with it.

Okay.  We are surviving.
I wonder what else is going to come our way this next week?  We need to catch our breath.  We have been going, going, and going the last few days.  Pretty sure me and Matt are going to crash soon... And Isaac gets really sad when we tell him we "need to go to the store."

Well Band of Brothers finished up, and I need to go to bed.  Much love to everyone!
